The Great Wall Cup 2012

The Great Wall Cup of Beijing international youth football tournament is organized by Beijing Football Association in coordination with China Sports Tour. In 2010, the 1st tournament kicked off at the Bird Nest National Stadium in Beijing with 14 teams from 6 different nations. The Great Wall Cup gives young teams from around the world an opportunity to experience China with much more than just the game itself. Teams can play against opponents from around the world, attend culture events to learn basic Chinese, Kung Fu, and take a tour to the Great Wall, the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Every summer there is always something great awaiting teams at the Great Wall Cup.

Our goal is to make the Great Wall Cup to be the largest host of international youth football tournament in Asia within the next 5-10 years. In the medium term, our program will be supported by working in partnership internationally with professional associations and clubs, in order to offer teams’ abroad opportunity to participate in the Great Wall Cup football tournament. In the long term, the development of the international football network in China that will offer national and international young people more access to global with life experience and professional career support. We want teams from around the world to be able to meet and communicate in Beijing, China by sharing culture and happiness through the universal language – FOOTBALL.
